Claude for K-4 teachers

Claude can help you plan lessons, make materials, adapt resources, write to families, and think through classroom problems. It is not a place for student information, and you check everything it makes.

Six ways to use Claude

Select a card to see what to ask for, an example prompt to copy, and what to watch for.

When you ask

  • Explain the grade level and learning objective.
  • Describe how students will use it.
  • Keep navigation and directions simple.
  • Request large, readable text for classroom displays.
  • Test every feature before using it with students.
  • Verify the accuracy of all instructional content.

Check everything before you use it

Claude can make mistakes. Before anything reaches students or families, check it for:

  • Accuracy
  • Appropriateness
  • Instructional quality
  • Accessibility
  • Tone

Verify the output. Protect private information.

You remain the teacher and the professional decision-maker.
